Descriptif
"Information and guidance page for Student Exchange Partners: the following page has been UPDATED: – http://www.imperial.ac.uk/placements/student-exchanges/information-for-student-exchange-partner-universities/
AND the relevant webpage is https://www.imperial.ac.uk/study/ug/apply/how-to-apply/visiting/
Deadlines:
- 15 May: for study periods commencing at the beginning of our academic year (in October)."
"an English test at their university (equating their proficiency to at least level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages)."
- UPDATE: evidence of the student’s English language proficiency (they should follow the guidance provided on page 9 of the “Guidance for Prospective Exchange Students”). Imperial College reserves the right to ask for further evidence of a student’s English language proficiency if that which a student includes in their on-line study application is considered insufficient. Where a home university provides a statement/letter/certificate indicating that a student has at least the equivalence of Level B2 (CEFR) that statement/letter/certificate must now include a breakdown of proficiency in the four elements (speaking; listening; writing; reading). Partners for whom this is relevant should also note that the College is accepting a Duolingo English Test (test scores are only considered valid if taken within 2 years of the intended course start date at Imperial), and for our German partners we now accept (for exchange students) the DAAD Certificate of English at B2 level. Further information on acceptable scores.
- When completing the on-line application you may use this email in place of a letter of nomination from Telecom.
- Once we have received your application Imperial will process your application within 8 weeks.
- The guidance document covers the application routine and immigration, and touches upon orientation. Read carefully. Access to up-dated orientation for next academic year (students commencing during our academic year), will be available on the above website from late October.
- When you read the guidance (for applicants) document you will find that the Visitor (immigration) route will apply (for short-term study; no more than 6 months). As an EU national you are a non-visa national but there are still Visitor rules to observe (especially when enrolling). Please note that you cannot work in the UK alongside your studies when entering the UK as a Visitor. There will also be a separate Electronic Travel Authorisation to undertake when travelling to the UK in the new year (again, refer to the Guidance document for the weblinks that will refer to this).
