Thesis:
A standard thesis at KU Leuven is a full year project worth 24 or 30 ECTS credits. Those Erasmus students who come on exchange only for one semester and already have a topic at their home university, may opt for half-year thesis project of 12 ECTS credits.
Regardless of the selected option, you need to find a (co-)promoter in our Faculty. To facilitate this, we strongly advise that the thesis promoter in your home university already has good contacts with a colleague inour Faculty. Please keep in mind that you need to have
the acceptance of a professor in Leuven to be your thesis promoter before the application deadline. Start looking well in time!
! Note that if you are applying at the Faculty of Engineering Science, you may not select a professor from a different faculty as your thesis supervisor.
