Enseignement scientifique & technique - SES214 : Business Economics for Strategy and Innovation

Descriptif

This course is an introduction to product strategies, strategic and innovative thinking in business. It is based on both standard and recent developments in digital economics and in design thinking to provide a global perspective on strategy.

Objectifs pédagogiques

It aims at providing economic and business concepts and tools to help engineers to understand the business environment of technological innovations while being able to ponder opportunities and threats in their economic and regulatory environments. This course would be of premium interest for students interested in strategy consultancy. This course has a special partnership with Wavestone, a strategy and technological consultant based in La Défense in Paris. To make it even more real, the final exam will take place in Wavestone office followed by a cocktail! (so please book up your happy hour !).

Course 5: Innovative thinking – sources and design of innovations

Course 6: Innovations in the video game industry

Course 7: Digital transformation (definition, issues and examples) based on Wavestone consultancy cases

Course 8: Final examination “Become a real consultant !” – Case study with Wavestone

Méthodes pédagogiques

Each session mixes up applied theory, concepts, cases studies, news. It involves active participation of students to be more efficient!
