Enseignement scientifique & technique - SES214 : Business Economics for Strategy and Innovation

Descriptif

This course is an introduction to product strategies, strategic and innovative thinking in business. It is based on both standard and recent developments in digital economics and in design thinking to provide a global perspective on strategy.

Objectifs pédagogiques

It aims at providing economic and business concepts and tools to help engineers to understand the business environment of technological innovations while being able to ponder opportunities and threats in their economic and regulatory environments. This course would be of premium interest for students interested in strategy consultancy. This course has a special partnership with Wavestone, a strategy and technological consultant based in La Défense in Paris. To make it even more real, the final exam will take place in Wavestone office followed by a cocktail! (so please book up your happy hour !).

The final mark is based on course participation and presence (20%), exercises or homeworks between each lesson (30%) and a final exam (50%).
